Pelosi whines about Catholics 

having “this conscience thing."

I was a minister's daughter. {My father passed away in 1996.} Growing up was difficult because our lives were a fishbowl. Every little movement, facial expression, or word was dissected and commented upon by the congregation. "Mrs. Jones said that you smiled too much today in church." "Mrs. Smith said that you didn't smile enough today in church." "Mrs. Williams is mad because you didn't say hello to her at the mall." Etc., etc. But, the worst? The Holy Rollers. People who "talk the talk, but don't walk the walk." They may have the loudest "Amen!" at church, but their behavior is despicable. - The husband who hugs just a little too long. The wife who is a nasty gossip behind everyone's backs. The office worker who holds Bible Study at lunch and attends Christian women's conferences, but lies every time she opens her mouth.... Oh, yeah. That's a favorite. 

As I've traveled through my adult years, I've discovered that Holy Rollers are everywhere, in every walk of life. Membership in the Catholic Church is voluntary. If people do not want to follow its doctrines, they should find another faith community that reflects their values — and at the least, they should learn what the Church teaches on abortion and life before mischaracterizing it on national television, repeatedly. 

In February 2009 Pelosi met with Pope Benedict XVI during her trip to Italy. Pelosi has been criticized by Catholic leaders for supporting abortion rights. The Pope released a statement after the private meeting. He said that he had talked to Pelosi about "the dignity of human life from conception to natural death." According to the statement, The Pope told Pelosi that all Catholics should work for "a just system of laws capable of protecting human life at all stages of its development."

I’m always astounded as to the extent pro-choice Catholics indulge themselves, both inwardly and outwardly, to justify their position - like Nancy Pelosi attempting to spin the Catholic doctrine on human life. Pelosi is a publicly, disobedient, defiant, “look at me!” Catholic-in-Name-Only. She is most definitely a Holy Roller.

Bloomberg's War on Mothers

I shall never forget May 19, 1997. I gave birth to my first son. After being married for 12 years, I was finally having a child. I was so sick with morning sickness 24/7 thru the entire pregnancy. I was bed-ridden toward the end. I had preeclampsia (high blood pressure or hypertension during pregnancy) and was induced two weeks early. I had to lie on my left side for 14 hours to keep pressure off my son. I'll spare you the details of the actual delivery. But, Steven was born with breathing problems and was taken to the NICU (neonatal intensive care unit).

I wasn't able to hold Steven for the first three days, and then it would only be for a few minutes at a time. I'd waddle down the hallway, wait outside the NICU for someone to let me in. After checking that I was really a mother who really had a baby in the NICU, I'd finally get inside only to find that the nurses had already fed Steven even though I arrived for feeding time when they told me. I didn't get to truly hold Steven until he was five days old. It had been a long haul, so to speak, but I finally had my baby boy!

Then, came the lactation zealots. Even though Steven was too small, too weak to breast-feed, the "lactation consultants" still came into the room to "advise" me that breast-feeding was the best for my baby. They were relentless. Why, they'd even help me at home with breast-feeding. Yeah, right. I wasn't able to breast-feed my son. In fact, I wasn't be able to breast-feed all three of my sons. But, that never slowed down, or kept away, the lactation zealots. It was unpleasant and upsetting.... Just what a mother needs when she finally gets to hold her baby.

I truly cannot express my rage when I saw news articles that NYC Mayor Bloomberg is pushing hospitals to HIDE their baby formula behind locked doors to persuade more new mothers to breast-feed their babies. In fact, starting Sept. 3, the New York City Health Department will monitor the number of formula bottles being given out and demand a medical reason for each one. Outrageous! Supposedly, mothers who want to bottle-feed their babies will not be denied formula, but for each and every bottle they request, they will be given a lecture on why breastfeeding is better by hospital staff. This is atrocious! I've already dealt with the lactation zealots in 1997, 1999 and 2000. I cannot imagine hospital staff being even worse than these women. I was 32 when I had my first child and found their "encouragement" distressing. I cannot imagine even younger mothers having to deal with these women.

NYC Major Bloomberg is insane and needs to be removed from office! (1) He wants to control the amount of soda that people drink. (2) He wants to change the legislation so he can hold a third term in office. (3) Recently, he tells police officers to go on strike. (4) Now, he's telling mothers how to feed their babies!

Breastfeeding is a woman's personal decision, and certainly none of Bloomberg's business. It’s the epitome of hypocrisy for the same people who claim that a woman has the “right to choose” to abort her unborn child has no right to choose whether she breast-feeds a child.

DIY Homemade Powdered Laundry Detergent

I've been reading DIY websites, blogs and pins looking for economical items for around the house. After mixing and trying different laundry detergent recipes, I like this one the best. {No, I'm not being paid by any of the following companies to advertise their products. I'm just passing along what I like.}

Let's start with the secret ingredient: Purex Crystals! I use the 28 oz. blue bottle with "fresh waters" scent. It was a safe "manly" bet. {My guys don't want to smell like lavendar.} It smells terrific. It makes your clean laundry - and the whole house - smell nice, but not overpowering. Whatever laundry detergent you use, don't leave out this secret ingredient.

Next, is 20 Mule Team Borax. This was a little difficult to find - or at least it was for me - until I finally asked for it. The white box is the new packaging, and some stores may still have the old mustard yellow box. You'll need 10 cups.

Then, you'll need Arm & Hammer Washing Soda. NOT, Arm & Hammer Baking Soda....Washing Soda. You'll find it in the laundry aisle. It's in a yellow box (not orange). You'll need 10 cups.


Finally, you'll need one bar of Zote soap. Yes, Zote. My Walmart has pink or white - I use the pink. I buy one bar and finely grate it at home. You can buy the laundry flakes but it's 3 times as much money, and the whole point is the most economical laundry detergent. My Walmart has it on the top shelf at the end of the laundry aisle for 98¢. One finely grated bar makes about five cups. Mix the other ingredients first. If you start with the Zote soap, it'll melt.

So, four ingredients - 1 28 oz. bottle of Purex Crystals. 10 cups of 20 Mule Team Borax. 10 cups of Arm & Hammer Washing Soda. 1 finely grated bar of Zote soap. Oh, and a 5-gallon bucket with an airtight lid for safekeeping. {I used an old laundry detergent bucket w/lid.} I use an old Oxyclean bottle for day-to-day use, so I'm not dipping into the 5-gallon bucket all the time. The best part?! You only need 3 tablespoons of detergent per load. Yes!! 3 tablespoons. That's so great.

Hollywood's War on Chicken

The latest solid proof that Hollywood really can't stand traditional Christianity has arrived in an unfolding boycott of Chick-fil-A, a Georgia-based fast-food chain that's rapidly spreading franchises across America.

Chick-fil-A demonstrates a public faith by closing all its stores on Sundays and on Thanksgiving and Christmas. It's something the left ridicules but something anyone of any faith respects.

It's the company's donations through its WinShape Foundation that have launched the intolerant gay left into action. Chick-fil-A has dared to donate their profits to groups like the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (Horrors!) and the Marriage and Family Foundation (No!).

Chick-fil-A President Dan Cathy told the Baptist Press that, "We are very much supportive of the family -- the biblical definition of the family unit. We are a family-owned business, a family-led business, and we are married to our first wives. We give God thanks for that." This man just has to cut it out. Who does he think he is?

But what really infuriated the left was Cathy's comments on a radio show that "I think we are inviting God's judgment on our nation when we shake our fist at Him and say, 'We know better than you as to what constitutes a marriage.'"

One of Hollywood's first moves came from The Jim Henson Co., the iconic family entertainment group that invented the Muppets. They issued a statement on Facebook proclaiming they were withdrawing any association through kid's-meal toys with the chain. "The Jim Henson Company has celebrated and embraced diversity and inclusiveness for over fifty years and we have notified Chick-fil-A that we do not wish to partner with them on any future endeavors," they declared. "Lisa Henson, our CEO is personally a strong supporter of gay marriage and has directed us to donate the payment we received from Chick-fil-A to GLAAD."

In other words, they're suggesting that they'll be better corporate citizens by giving their Chick-fil-A kiddie-meal money to the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation, a group that fervently seeks to censor all traditional Christians from being allowed to say anything "anti-gay" on television news or entertainment programs. Even the Muppet people are in thrall to speech-squashing political correctness.

Other critics emerged on Twitter. "Chick-fil-A doesn't like gay people? So lame," actor Ed Helms (of "The Hangover" movies) tweeted. "Hate to think what they do to the gay chickens! Lost a loyal fan." Several other bold-type Hollywood moralists -- Miley Cyrus, Lindsay Lohan and Kim Kardashian -- also backed a Chick-fil-A boycott.

But few can compare with the undiluted spite of Roseanne Barr, who grabbed all the attention with her death wishes on Twitter: "anyone who eats S--t Fil-A deserves to get the cancer that is sure to come from eating antibiotic filled tortured chickens 4Christ."

This came after she had called them "chick filet- nazi chicken f---ing pricks." She also cracked she was "off to grab a s--it fil-A sandwich on my way to worshipping Christ, supporting Aipac and war in Iran." When people attacked her for saying people "deserved" cancer, she lectured, "Giving (your kids) Cancer from processed fast food is child abuse." To think that this genius just tried to run for president of the United States on the Green Party ticket is mind-boggling.

Chick-fil-A put out a corporate response making the obvious point (at least to their customers) that you will find no disrespect at their restaurants. "The Chick-fil-A culture and service tradition in our restaurants is to treat every person with honor, dignity and respect -- regardless of their belief, race, creed, sexual orientation or gender."

The statement added, "Going forward, our intent is to leave the policy debate over same-sex marriage to the government and political arena." That's exactly what Hollywood wants to hear. On the Internet, they photograph themselves with taped mouths and paint "No H8" on their cheeks, but they display more hate and more desire to shut people up than the wackiest of right-wing yahoos.

The left will always go further. Steven Kurlander, a blogger on the Huffington Post "Gay Voices" site, is mastering Orwellian speech: "Chick-fil-A's continued support of anti-gay groups and Cathy's discriminatory comments cross the line of decency." In the 21st century, we're told it's indecent to be a Bible-believing Christian. He added that Chick-fil-A should be banned from taxpayer-supported facilities and should not be allowed to "work with public school children."

Chick-fil-A and Freedom of Speech

Kraft has an Oreo with rainbow-colored filling and believes in same-sex marriage. Good for them. Chick-fil-A donates to Christian charities and does not believe in same-sex marriage. Good for them. 

Neither company asks for your sexual orientation before purchasing their products. Both are happy to take your money. Ah, free market enterprise! Both companies are entitled to spend their profits to donate to whichever charities they want. Ah, free society!

Both companies and their CEOs, or whatever, are entitled to their opinions, and to express them. Ah, free speech! But, that's the rub, huh? I'm always surprised - which I shouldn't be anymore, but I still am - at the level of hate aimed toward someone whose opinion does not agree with someone else's. One comment left on Chick-fil-A's Facebook page was something like, "I won't eat chicken filled with hate!" Really? Seriously? Chicken is filled with... chicken (at least I hope so). But, that Facebook comment was filled with hate.

And, that's the importance of our 1st Amendment. Freedom of Speech. While we may not agree with others, the freedom to express unpopular viewpoints - from either side of an issue - must be protected too.

So, while I don't usually eat at Chick-fil-A (too cost prohibitive), I'll be there July 25 and August 1 -- both days suggested for "Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day" -- because I do believe in Freedom of Speech, and the right to protect it.

P.S. Kraft and Chick-fil-A? Yeah, they built those......

Obama's Kenyan Birth Records Discovered in British Nat'l Archives

WHERE LIES GO TO DIE – Evidence discovered shows British Protectorate of East Africa recorded Obama’s birth records before 1963 and sent returns of those events to Britain’s Public Records Office and the Kew branch of British National Archives. (Dan Crosby of The Daily Pen)

KEW, SURREY, GB – The last place anyone would think to look for a birth record of someone claiming to be a “natural born” U.S. citizen is Great Britain.  The very inclusion of the Article II eligibility mandate in the U.S. Constitution was explicitly intended by the founding fathers of America to prevent a then British-born enemy usurper from attaining the office of the U.S. presidency and thereby undermining the sovereignty of the newly formed nation. 

In the absence of honor, courage and justice on the part of those serving in the U.S. Congress and Federal Judiciary, Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio’s Cold Case investigative group has concluded the only law enforcement analysis of the image of Obama’s alleged “Certificate of Live Birth” posted to a government website in April, 2011 and found it to be the product of criminal fraud and document forgery.    

The seeming endless evidence against Obama has now taken investigators to the foreign archives of Great Britain wherein it has been discovered that vital events occurring under the jurisdiction of the British Colony in the Protectorate of East Africa prior to 1965 were recorded and held in the main office of the British Registrar in England until 1995 before being archived in the BNA.

The books containing hand written line records of vital events attributed to Obama are contained in Series RG36 of the Family Records section in the Kew branch of the BNA.  The hand written line records first discovered in 2009, indicate several events were registered to the name Barack Obama (appears to be handwritten and spelled “Burack” and “Biraq”) beginning in 1953 and include two births recorded in 1958 and 1960, a marriage license registration in 1954 and a birth in 1961.  Barack Obama is said to have died in 1982 and had married at least once more in Kenya  and had at least one more child in 1968, but no record of these were found in the BNA because, according to the Archives’ desk reference, the events occurred after Kenya achieved independence from British colonial rule in 1963.

The line records do not specify the identity or names of the children, only gender.  However, the line records are associated with index numbers of actual microfilm copies of certificates, licenses and registration applications filed in the archives.  According to researchers, Obama’s line records were discovered in Series RG36, reference books.  Not surprisingly, when researchers specifically requested access to the relevant microfilm for the Obama birth registrations, they were told that the records were currently held under an outdated “privileged access” status, meaning researchers were denied access under Chapter 52, Sections 3 and 5 of the British Public Records Act of 1958. 

However, evidence shows these records were available for public access before August of 2009, the approximate date of arrival of Hillary Clinton in Great Britain during her trip to Africa that year.

Several sources show that Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton made a sudden visit to the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office, the British agency which oversees Public Records Archives from colonial protectorates, to speak with the Chief Executive of the Archives in early August of 2009.  African news agency expressed surprise at Clintons arrival since she did not announce her intentions of stopping in Great Britain before embarking on her two week trip to Africa.  http://thedailypen.blogspot.com/2012/07/obamas-kenyan-birth-records-discovered.html

If the ineligibility movement was not scoring significant victories why would the Democratic Party and Obama’s supporters be trying so hard to silence the issue? Why not encourage the legal establishment to rule on the evidence and the law, rather than avoiding the facts? Why not encourage the Supreme Court to rule, rather than evade? Colo. Gov. Hickenlooper: More Laws Would Not Have Stopped Tragedy

In an interview with CNN, Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper said that stricter gun laws would not have prevented the recent tragedy in Aurora. “If there were no assault weapons available and no this or no that, this guy is going find something, right?” Hickenlooper, a Democrat, said on the show. “He’s going to know how to create a bomb.”

"Well, I mean I'm not sure there is any way in a free society to be able to do that kind of -- he was buying things in different places. Certainly, we can try and I'm sure we will try to create some checks and balances on these things, but this is a act of evil. It is somebody who is -- who was an aberration of nature. And, you know, if it wasn't one weapon, it would have been another. I mean, he was diabolical. If you look at what he had in his apartment and what his intentions were, I mean even now it makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up.

"Yeah. I mean, I'm happy to look at anything. But, it's -- again, this person if we had, if there were no assault weapons available, and no this or no that, this guy is going to find something, right. He's going to know how to create a bomb. He's going to -- I mean, who knows where his mind would have gone clearly very intelligent individual, however twisted.

You know, I don't know -- that is the problem, and this is really, this is a human issue, in some profound way that this level of disturbed individual that we can't recognize it, that the people around him obviously had no idea that this was something that he was capable of."

The governor described the suspect as a “deeply troubled, twisted, delusional person.”

“I am speechless,” he said. “I can’t conceive of a motive. In a funny way, this guy is a terrorist, right? For whatever twisted reasons that we can barely even imagine, he wanted to create terror. He wanted to put fear in people’s lives.”

Book review: "I Wish I Were Engulfed in Flames: My Insane Life Raising Two Boys with Autism" by Jeni Decker

Recently, I read "I Wish I Were Engulfed in Flames: My Insane Life Raising Two Boys with Autism" by Jeni Decker. It was recommended to me because it ontained the word "autism" in the title.  I have two son with Asperger's syndrome. So, whenever somebody sees anything regarding autism, they think I should read it. "Oh, I immediately thought of you!" Usually, I don't bother since each child is different, each family is different. Each family's experiences are unique unto themselves. But, I decided to read it because it was supposedly getting great reviews and was so funny. Right...... 

The book had good parts, like Jake needs to take several showers a day. I thought, "Oh, my goodness! My son isn't the only one who does that." But, overall, the book was nothing more than her pompous, selfish, self-serving attitude and behavior which does not speak for me or other parents of autistic children. Her intentional antagonizing of Jake abusive. 

The venom she spoke with regarding her husband was deplorable. Her vulgarity was unnecessary, and her political rant was misplaced in this book. Jeni Decker should be ashamed of herself. This could have been a beautiful, insightful book regarding life with autism if she had focused on her boys, instead of herself.

Colorado Movie Theater Massacre

Our prayers and condolences extend to all who were murdered, injured, or who lost loved ones and friends last night in the Colorado massacre during the screening of the latest Batman movie.

I can’t help but wonder who gets out of bed in the morning and says to himself "today, I am going to kill and terrorize as many people as I can" and then proceeds to do so?

Amonix: Another Obama-Subsidized Solar Company Fails

The Las Vegas Review Journal reports this week that Amonix, a California-based solar panel company that received $6 million in tax credits and $15.6 in grant money from the U.S. Department of Energy, has CLOSED its manufacturing plant in Northern Las Vegas, just 14 months after it opened.

Steve Westly, the man behind Amonix, is also involved in other companies that have benefited from Obama-directed taxpayer help: Tesla Motors, CalStar Products, Solexel, Recycle Bank, EdenIQ and Amyris Biotechnologies. "Steve Westly, pictured [below] during his 2006 campaign for the Democratic gubernatorial nomination in California, is one of Obama’s top fundraisers. Companies in The Westly Group portfolio have benefited from more than half a billion dollars in loans, grants or stimulus money from the Energy Department." (Chris Carlson/Associated Press).

One of President Barack Obama’s most prolific fundraisers, Westly was among guests at January’s state dinner for the president of China. A month later, he dined with Obama again at an exclusive San Francisco Bay area gathering for prominent high tech CEOs, including the leaders of Facebook, Google and Apple. He visits White House staff and, as a member of a government advisory board on energy policy, has the ear of Energy Secretary Steven Chu, whose department hands out the sort of seed money sought by companies in The Westly Group portfolio. Romney hits back with a powerful message…

“My father’s hands didn’t build this company? My hands didn’t build this company? My son’s hands aren’t building this company? Did somebody else take out the loan on my father’s house to finance the equipment?” asks New Hampshire business owner Jack Gilchrist who, along with his family, operates Gilchrist Metal Fabricating Company.

“Did somebody else make payroll every week or figure out where it’s coming from? President Obama, you’re killing us out here. Through hard work and a little bit of luck, we built this business. Why are you demonizing us for it? We are the solution, not the problem,” he adds.

Is U.S. Army's MEDEVAC policy killing our wounded soldiers?

If you do not follow the dispatches of Michael Yon (independent combat journalist), you must. Mr. Yon offers a unique and valuable inside look at the dangers American soldiers face every day, previously in Iraq and now in Afghanistan. His photographs of missions with our soldiers are heartbreaking and compelling.

The mainstream media has forgotten our armed forces around the world. Mr. Yon has not. It's refreshing to read the dispatches of a journalist who is pro-soldier. I like and respect that.

Mr. Yon has been reporting about the disastrous U.S. Army Dustoff MEDEVAC ("Dustoffs) policy and procedures. Because the Dustoffs carry the Red Cross symbol, the helicopters are not allowed to be armed pursuant to the Geneva Convention. They must be accompanied by an Apache attack helicopter. If all Apaches are on mission and unavailable, then the Dustoffs cannot rescue our wounded soldiers - they must stay grounded, waiting for an escort. This significantly contributed - if not caused - the death of SPC Chazray Clark (24) on September 18, 2011, in Afghanistan. In an IED explosion, Mr. Clark lost both legs and an arm. Although medics on the ground had Mr. Clark stabilized, it took 69 minutes from time of injury until he arrived at the Kandahar Airfield Hospital. While Mr. Clark's death is horrible enough, he was awake and talking while waiting for his rescue helicopter. I cannot even comprehend what this young man's final hour was like.... It's unspeakable. 

The Army's Dustoff policies and procedures must be changed. Why? (1) U.S. Air Force, Navy, and Marine rescue helicopters do not carry the Red Cross symbol and are properly armed. Their response time is quicker (and safer) because they do not have to wait for an escort. (2) There were Air Force Pedros available at Kandahar Airfield, but the Army didn't allow them to assist. Sort of a "we'll take care of  'our' own" policy. (3) The atrocities of the Taliban and al-Qaeda have been reported extensively. Our helicopters with the Red Cross symbol are just additional targets. And, not surprisingly, the Taliban and al-Qaeda are not parties of the Geneva Convention so they certainly are not going to abide by those rules of engagement.

Please help, by contacting the President and your congressmen and tell them the Dustoffs policies and procedures must be changed. Our soldiers should not pay for the price for their outdated, bureaucractic policies. Not only should American be united, our armed forces should be as well. Let's save lives.

"President's Long-Form Birth Certificate is Undoubtedly a Fraud"

I just watched the lengthy press conference by Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio and Cold Case Possee Lead Investigator Mike Zullo. They did an excellent job with the investigation and presenting credible forensic evidence. Too bad the reporters present were either biased or stupid. They didn't seem to understand - or refused to understand - the simplest of explanations.

Specifically, Sheriff Joe and his team proved that the long-form birth certificate presented by the White House at whitehouse.gov is a forgery:


"Investigators learned that Hawaii Department of Health utilizes a coding system defined by the federal government to categorize and code the required information on all Birth Certificates registered by the state including those registered in 1961. This process involves writing specific number codes by hand and in pencil, placed next to relevant information contained on the birth certificate. The coding numbers seen on the President’s LFBC are not consistent with the coding responses required by the federal government to match the information presented. I have always wondered by Obama (the ruler of the most transparent presidency) refuses to produce any records, at all. Why wasn't this an issue when he ran for Illinois Senator? Why wasn't this an issue in the 2008 presidential race? I'm surprised that a person running for the Office of the President of the United States does NOT have to prove that they're an actual citizen of the United States!

First, Obama's Social Security Number was fake.
Second, Obama's U.S. Selective Service registration card was fake.
Now, Obama's long-form birth certificate is fake.

After I take the Mini-Dachshunds out for their morning pee, I have time to myself before the boys wake up. I like to use that quiet time to check email, Facebook, Pinterest, but especially the news.

This morning when I logged online, I was furious to read the articles regarding Obama's speech telling entrepreneurs that they didn't build their businesses - somebody else did. My rage was palpable.

I immediately thought of my Dad and all his hard-working years. In 1994, he was finally able to open his own business. But, according to Obama, he didn't do that. The 20 employees he hired and paid {JOB CREATOR}...He didn't do that. All the times he went without pay so his employees would be paid...He didn't do that either. He sacrificed more money so his employees and their families had total healthcare coverage. I guess he didn't do that either. He died in 1996 after a 15-year battle with Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma. What was he worried about before he passed away? - the welfare of his family and employees. But, I guess he didn't do THAT either.

Then, I thought of my hard-working husband. Every time he hires more employees {JOB CREATOR}, he doesn't do that. Every time he pounds the pavement, going to meetings, and trying to get new business for his company and work for his employees...He doesn't do that either.

I'm sick of Obama, and his pompous, arrogant Anti-American rhetoric. Mr. Obama, you are an idiot and a pig. Stop insulting and taxing the America people.
